Driver Ed Class
What happens if I miss a class?
If you would like to schedule a make-up class, please contact our office staff during normal business hours. They will schedule you for a make-up with the next running class. If time restraints require the class to be made up before the next available date, a private tutoring make-up class can be scheduled for an additional fee.
Does classroom instruction have to be completed to start behind-the-wheel lessons?
No. After completing the 5th class, you can start your behind-the-wheel training. We aim to have at least three drives completed by the end of the classroom instruction.
Do I have to have a permit to start classes?
No. If you do not have a permit, a "permit waiver" can be issued up to 10 days before the classes start. This waives the knowledge exam required for licensing until AFTER completing your driver's education course. To receive a permit waiver, you must provide Atlas Driving Schools with your registration (WDL) number and verify entry before going to the Department of Licensing for your permit.
What does the Driver's Education Course consist of and how long does it take?

How old do I need to be to start a driver's education course?
You must be 15 years of age by the first day of class.
